Chrome, Crystal and Glass

You run the scene,
Calm and serene,
You have such style and such flair.

Who could ignore
The sign on your door?
You've earned your place way up there.

Day after day there's so much to do.
So many eyes look up to you.
They see –

Chrome, Crystal and Glass,
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.
Night after night
A thousand lights show your
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.

Now you're alone.
It's time to go home,
Time to unwind, to be free.

But work is still there
And you really care.
Worries will not let you be.

Even at night you're still in this place,
Moving and planning, how can you find space?
You see –

Chrome, Crystal and Glass,
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.
Night after night
A thousand lights show your
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.

Once there were dreams,
Now it just seems
Even the best dreams can change.
Once you and I
Reached for the sky,
Now we feel distant and strange.

You said should you die there'd be plenty there
Who'd say how they loved you and say how they cared,
But who would miss a friend?
I miss a friend
When I see –

Chrome, Crystal and Glass,
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.
I see them at night
A million lights from your
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.

Chrome, Crystal and Glass,
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.
Night after night
I see those lights from your
Chrome, Crystal and Glass.
